Casa Solito

Casa Solito is a tropical compound imagined as a small village — separate volumes for living, sleeping, and bathing, linked by covered walkways and gathered around a central pool terrace and sunken fire pit. The architecture borrows freely from the coastal vernacular — stucco walls in sun-bleached white, thatched reed pergolas, brick-paved terraces — but scales and refines it into something unmistakably contemporary. The upper level is wrapped in vertical timber louvers and crowned with a reed-canopy roof terrace, while the ground floor opens through full-height glass to the pool and a garden of palms and tropical plantings. Inside, the palette is soft and sandy — linen upholstery, bleached-oak dining furniture, woven jute rugs — punctuated by moments of craft: a green herringbone-tile backsplash, hand-thrown ceramic vessels, a broad-bladed ceiling fan turning slowly overhead. It is a house that understands the luxury of a tropical life and distills it into built form.
