Atlante FC
Cancún, Quintana Roo
A new home for Atlante Fútbol Club on the Caribbean coast — a stadium conceived not as an isolated arena but as a civic landmark woven into the landscape and culture of Cancún.
The design responds to the region's tropical climate and flat limestone terrain, opening the structure to prevailing sea breezes and filtered light while sheltering spectators from sun and rain. Generous covered concourses blur the boundary between interior and exterior, framing views of the surrounding mangrove canopy and sky.
Beyond match days the complex activates as public ground: shaded plazas, training pitches, and community sport facilities extend the life of the site into the everyday rhythm of the city. The architecture aims to root a storied club — one of Mexican football's founding institutions — in a place it can call its own.
